Pressure.
With a purpose.
HPP is the preservation process used for CocoFox’s 250 ml bottled coconut water. Here is what that means for the bottle in your fridge.
What is HPP?
High Pressure Processing uses intense pressure for a controlled period to reduce microorganisms in food. It is commonly described as a non-thermal preservation method. The effect depends on the food and the treatment conditions.
We use HPP for our 250 ml coconut water to support our focus on its Nam Hom taste and aroma. HPP is the processing step; the ingredient remains 100% coconut water.
Read EFSA’s overview of HPPThis reference explains the general technology. It is not a certification or validation of CocoFox.
Still a chilled drink.
HPP does not make our coconut water an ambient-storage product. Keep it refrigerated according to the label, and check the expiry date before drinking.
Unopened refrigerated shelf life: 45 days under the specified storage conditions.
